My apologies if this offends anyone...but it was hilarious!

So yesterday at work I was in Personnel talking to Audra about an invoice issue together over her desk when suddenly Jeanell (training coordinator) went "EWE EWE!" I stood up strait and Audra and I looked at her. She then said (as she was pulling her long hair down the front of her, "My hair has almost grown long enough to cover my nipples!"

We started to laugh when I looked at Audra and her eyes got really wide as she looked towards the door. I turned around and there was the new Pharmacy manager walking into the office! He heard everything. I bent over Audra's desk and we had our foreheads together trying not to bust up laughing while he was in the office. Jeanell was trying not to laugh as she answered the question he had come in to ask.

When he left Jeanell asked us "Do you think he heard me?" Which of course made us crack up even more. I told Jeanell that of all the things that have happened in the Personnel office that had to be the funniest ever.

Megan walked in to the office right after and we told her what had happened. She said that she was in the S.W.A.S room (which is down the hall and in the break room-used to be the smoking room) and that she and Assistant Manager Courtney had heard someone yelling "EWE EWE!" but they didn't hear the rest of it.

We told Jeanell that probably anyone walking in the vicinity of the Personnel office now knows what her hair is almost covering.

I went back to my office laughing. Then Jeanell called me a little later and told me that she had told Richard (her husband) what she had done. His response was that she'd better cut her hair because he didn't want them covered up. But it gets even better.....

Hans (the Optical/Pharmacy District manager)-who we call Fabio-called personnel and Jeanell answered the phone. She thought he was calling to reprimand her for what she said in front of the Pharmacy manager. So she fessed up to him before he even had a chance to tell her what he REALLY needed. Just so you know he wasn't calling about what she said, he didn't even know about it. But he does now!

I love Jeanell and I really miss not being in Personnel with her. She kept me laughing and she is the best! It was so funny, but if you don't think so, then I guess you would have had to be there.

Glad that is over.......

This was the week of my first Inventory Prep Audit and I was, to say the least, a little stressed about it. Anyone that knows me knows what a perfectionist I am. I can't help it, it is just the way I am and always have been. So that being said, I was pushing myself to find all the things that I've missed in the learning process of this new job and get them fixed before they showed up on Wednesday.

Audra (who was the invoice clerk before we switched jobs) has been huge help to me the past couple of weeks. She was one of the main auditors for our market when she was the invoice clerk so she knows what they look for. She was kind enough to go through my Division 1 journals and she did an open audit on my open receiving's. She found things, a lot of them were things I didn't know to look for. I have in reality only been doing this for 8 months now so I am still learning. She found about $7,000 in potential shrink and we fixed it and now I know what to look for.

Tawna, Kristie (she was one of the girls that trained me) and Steph (she also trained me) came Wednesday. I have to tell you it was a hard day for me. To sit there and watch them go through everything. The girls were great. After I got the things I had to do finished I sat with them and watched and asked questions. I learned a lot and I will be going out on my first audit in April.

The outcome you ask........ They found a total of $7,588.38 in potential shrink and a little over $4,000 of that was in April and I didn't start in Invoice until May. They said for someone that has been doing invoice for this short of time and to only find that much was awesome. I was very much relieved and a little proud of myself too.

Kristin (the market HR and my old boss) was there and afterwards she came up to me and congratulated me. I went to Audra after they left and gave her a big hug and thanked her for all her help. Even if we would have had the $7,000 she found added to the amount they found, she said that was still a really good number for someone as new as I was.

Now I just have to get through my first inventory which is February 24th. This means lots of new things to learn.

Thursday I did Jade's UPC job and then Friday when she was here we switched and I did her job and she did my opens and auto matches. Then she checked over my work and showed me how to do a few other things.

Thursday night I went to the Adult Education class with Letty and Carol. It was really good the class went almost a half hour over. But we don't mind because he is such a good teacher.

As you can see I've got a concert promo for Paul Cardall on my blog. It will be his first concert since his heart transplant. Remember when I had his music on my blog a few months ago? Well I never heard back from Stone Angel (his recording company) who on the street team won. So when they sent out this mission for us to let people know of the concert, I emailed them back and asked who won the last one. They sent me an email back almost immediately and told me that I had! They didn't have a way to contact me until I sent them that email.

I received my free copy of his newest CD in the mail today. They haven't said what is the prize this time but I checked the leader board and I am a head right now. I would love to go to this concert but I don't have the funds. Maybe next time.....

My friend Rhi has a friend who is making his own comic. It's called "Peter Pan-Vampire" and I have become friends with Gary Brantner (the creator). He is having a contest to find a song with the word 'shadow' in the title and submit them with the group that sings it. The winner will get an autographed copy of his first edition comic book. I've sent him several titles so we'll see if my "lucky streak" will continue.

Okay, it's an update..........happy now?

So the other day my cell phone rings and it is my parents number. I answer it and this is what I hear first thing from my dad, "You haven't updated your blog lately, I'm still reading about New Years...." Thanks for noticing dad..............

That is probably the most interesting thing that has happened to me since New Years. The holiday's are over and my life is back to the same humdrum life it was before. Eat, Sleep, Work, that IS my life.

At work I have been getting ready for my first Inventory Prep audit. I cannot tell you how stressed I am about this. It is just very hard for me to accept people coming in to look at my work with the intent to find all the errors they can. I am supposed to be perfect! I've been driving poor Audra (she was the invoice clerk, now personnel) crazy. She has been helping me with all the things I find so I can get as much right as I can before Wednesday.

Plus I only have about 12 more days to learn Jade's job before she goes. I haven't had much time to do that since I've been getting ready for the audit. She is having a baby girl in February and she only works 3 days a week and her last day is 2 weeks before inventory. Talk about bad timing (or good depending on whose side you are on). If she comes back to work she will not be coming back to the Invoice office since they are cutting back the office personnel. I will be doing both jobs.

PLUS...they have cut my hours to 35 since Christmas. Just the thing I need them to do when my work load doubles and I buy a new car!!!!!!!!

So because of my budget getting tighter I told Carol and Letty that I wouldn't be signing up for the next series of Church Education classes. They upped the cost because the next set of classes is going to go 15 weeks instead of 12. It was the continuing series on the life and ministry of Christ that we had last session.

Tonight Carol came over to bring me my new Relief Society lesson book because I'm in Primary and I kept forgetting to pick it up. She told me that her and Letty paid for my class so I can go with them. I just don't know what I'm going to do with that woman! I will just have to keep loving her and be grateful that she is my friend.

Speaking of her being my friend, she came over last week and asked me to be a visiting teacher. I haven't been one since I started working at Wally's. So I am once again and my partner is Sharon H (the Primary President). We only have 2 ladies I think so it shouldn't be too bad.

Then last Tuesday she made me go to the Releif Society Enrichment night. I didn't want to go, it was on self esteem and yes I know mine is in the toilet but I don't want to hear people talking about it. In all actuality is was a very good presentation and I know I need it but I really just wanted to stay home and put my feet up and try to relax...

Yesterday Leslie called me and told me that she was bringing the kids in to see "The Princess and the Frog" and asked if I wanted to meet them there. Sure anything not to have to do housework.

It was really cute. When it first started Gunner kept asking where the frog was. I looked over at Braxton and he was sound asleep. I think he saw about the first 10 minutes of the movie. I had to wake him up so we could leave. Cambria and her friend Kayla loved it.

Today I went to church. I didn't have to play the organ but it was my Sunday to give the Primary lesson. I am loving my new class. Then we had choir practice after so I'm not getting home on Sundays till 5:00.

Well there it is. You can all wake up I'm done for now.........

2010...a new year.......what will it bring?

Well I have certainly slacked off on my entries lately.

Christmas day was quiet as usual. I just layed around and watch TV all day.

I had another 3 day weekend over New Years.

New Years Eve I went out to Leslie's after I got off work so that I could watch the kids while she and Paul went up to Lava for the night. The kids were great. We had mac and cheese for dinner. Then we put on our jammies and watched TV and played. The puppy thinks everything is a chew toy so you have to keep the things you don't want chewed on up off the floor.

Cambria wanted to stay up to see the ball drop at Time Square but she was asleep before 10. I stayed up of course so that I could give Jamie her Happy Birthday call at midnight. I slept in Leslie's room and just about the time I was laying down to sleep Gunner woke up wanting a drink and to go potty. Then he wanted to sleep with me. It is amazing how much of a queen size bed a 2 year old can take up. I kept waking up on the edge of the bed with Gunner right up against me. I would gently move him over and about an hour later he was pushing me out of the bed again!

New Years day the kids were up early (they managed to get a good nights sleep) it was snowing and Les and Paul didn't get home until noon, but they made it back safely. We watched the Rose Parade and the kids loved it. I ordered a couple of pizzas from Pizza Plus (best pizza) and of course an order of their cheesy bread sticks. The food arrived at the same time as Les and Paul, I couldn't have asked for better timing.

After I got home (to a plowed driveway, thanks to my great neighbors!) I was so tired I slept most of the afternoon since there were no 2 year olds to push me out of bed.

Saturday was the Primary breakfast and this was the first year that I have been able to go. When I was in Personnel I always had to work the Saturday after New Years.

The bishopric cooked for all the kids and teachers. We had pancakes, sausage, fruit and your choice of orange juice, milk or chocolate milk. Then the teachers sat with their new classes for the year. I am still teaching with Susan and we have the Valiant 9 class. It is 4 girls and 1 boy and they are the cutest kids. I told Cambria if she went to my ward I would be teaching her class, it is the same age group.

After eating we went up to our new classroom and played a getting to know you game and then we had a scavenger hunt. It was a lot of fun. Afterwards we had a quick meeting with the Primary presidency and got our new lesson manuals.

That evening I watched Leslie's kids again since she and Paul had to go to a wedding reception and then out to eat. They even brought the puppy who has decided that I am his best friend since New Years. He only wanted to sit in my lap and chew on my hands. No matter what I gave him to chew on he always managed to come back to my hands. He even drew blood a couple of times and received a quick smack on the nose.

This year our meetings aren't until 1pm. Yay, I get to sleep in on Sundays! It was my turn at the organ and also to teach the lesson.

For the last year the class we had been teaching were a little on the rowdy side. As I would come up the stairs I could hear my class and our classroom was halfway down the hall. Today I walked in to five little children sitting nicely in their chairs being very quiet. I thought I was in heaven. Then Amelia came up to Susan and I and handed us a picture that she had colored for both of us. We had a good lesson and I am looking forward to this next year. We are going to have so much fun.

Well tomorrow it's back to a five day work week. Those holiday weeks were nice. Our inventory is Feb. 24th. It is my first inventory as invoice clerk. I am trying not to stress over it too much but you know me.....plus I only got scheduled 35 hours this week. I need 40 for so many reasons and that is stressing me out also. At least I didn't get my hours cut to 32 like some full timers did.
